Gender, Postcolonialism, Community Engagement, and New Narratives”, organizzato all’Università di Macerata per la prima settimana di novembre 2026.
La call è ora aperta e la scadenza è stata prorogata al 20 settembre 2026, con notifica di accettazione al 28 settembre 2026.
Il workshop indaga il rapporto bidirezionale fra ricerca, didattica, engagement pubblico e comunità: come la ricerca in archeologia di genere, postcoloniale, pubblica e di comunità trasformi le pratiche didattiche, le narrazioni pubbliche e la gestione del patrimonio, e come ne sia a sua volta trasformata. Quattro sessioni,coordinate da Astrid Van Oyen (Radboud University), Francesco Ripanti (University of Birmingham), Chiara Bonacchi (University of Edinburgh) e Eugenio Farioli Vecchioli (RAI). Si prevede la pubblicazione degli atti in open access, previa peer review.
La call è riservata agli Early Career Researchers: dottorande e dottorandi, assegniste e assegnisti, ricercatrici e ricercatori non strutturati.

‘From Research to Society – and Back: Critical Approaches in Archaeology and Ancient History. Gender, Postcolonialism, Community Engagement, and New Narratives’, organised at the University of Macerata for the first week of November 2026.
The call for papers is now open and the deadline has been extended to 20 September 2026, with notification of acceptance by 28 September 2026.
The workshop explores the two-way relationship between research, teaching, public engagement and the community: how research in gender, postcolonial, public and community archaeology transforms teaching practices, public narratives and heritage management, and how it is in turn transformed by them. Four sessions, coordinated by Astrid Van Oyen (Radboud University), Francesco Ripanti (University of Birmingham), Chiara Bonacchi (University of Edinburgh) and Eugenio Farioli Vecchioli (RAI). The proceedings are expected to be published in open access, following peer review.
The call is open exclusively to early-career researchers: PhD students, research fellows and non-tenured researchers.
